GOI adivised States with Surplus power shared to others

*(DNS Report : P. Raja, Bureau Chief, Amaravati)*

*Amaravati, Oct 12 ,2021( DNS Online) :* Many states are preparing for power cuts amid fears that the power crisis in India is drowning in coal shortages.  The central government is on high alert as people are getting into trouble in this regard.  Made several key suggestions to the states on Tuesday.  Utilize unallocated electricity at the center for public use.  States with surplus power have asked other states to provide 'current' assistance.  The Union Ministry of Power has issued a statement to this effect.  Distribution companies are responsible for supplying electricity to consumers.  They must provide 24x7 power to their customer.  The Ministry of Power has revealed that they do not want to sell

electricity without supplying electricity to their own consumers.  The central government has warned that it will take strict action against states that sell electricity at high prices without supplying electricity to consumers.  It clarified that the option of using 'electricity not allocated to states that do so' would be withdrawn and it would be allocated to other states.
