Rjy Shastri contesting for Geneva Grand Council Election

*Amaravati, March 27, 2023 ( DNS Online ):* Mr. Sripada Phani Shastri, a resident of Rajahmundry ( East Godavari district ), is contesting for the Grand Council of the State of Geneva in Switzerland (the status of our MLA).
Phani has already created history by being the first Indian to stand for election in that country. He is a Son of most Emenet filim Artist and Papular singar, Sripada jetmohan mitra, still he perfared his programmes as he was Around 80 years.

Polling will be held on April 2., 2023 About 690 people are contesting for the 100 - seat Geneva Assembly. Candidates of all 12 parties are in the fray. Phani stood for the

Green Party, one of the main political parties in Geneva.

Phani needs to secure the majority of people's support out of a total of 4,80,000 votes. It is remarkable that 70 percent of the voters there are expatriates. More than 30 percent of them are from Portugal. Only 2,500 Indian voters.

Expatriates from 165 countries live in Switzerland. Phani, who is working as the Chief Information Security Officer at the United Nations agency, has been staying in Switzerland for the past 20 years. 

Phani is campaigning vigorously in different styles as the main agenda is the welfare of expatriates and the protection of their interests. Swiss Green Party leaders say that if phani succeeds, he will become the Minister of Home and Migrants Affairs in Geneva. The

results of the Geneva elections will be announced on the evening of April 2.
